I came at Casa Joaquin BnB very late at night because we had a miscommunication with the person who had fetched me up at the airport. And it was too traffic that time.. But anyways, I really like Casa coz it is cozy, comfortable and very homey... I also like the staffs there. And the price was just right.. So I want to recommend Casa Joaquin BnB, most specially for backpackers.

Was a nice converted house very clean not the most advanced or new facilities or furniture extremely clean well maintained.Very "homey" feel to it.Warning to americans the area looks kind of run down but ones you get thru the garden gate is nice inside the place plus plenty of guard houses between you and the outside is manila not the most high paid place in the world. Also all the taxi drivers are crooks and con artists very nice but trying to squeeze every cent out of you that can also the address on Booked.net is not correct.
The airport shuttle is not actually avaliable have to take a cab.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean and the eating area was pleasant.
Unless you hire an expensive shuttle service from the airport (at 60% the price of the room), your taxi driver will have difficulty finding the b&b and this can be a bit scary if you are new to Manila. Return to the airport from the b&b is no problem since the staff can direct the taxi driver and the fare is 1/3rd the cost of a shuttle.

The place was a converted house.
It's too small and it's not accessible to traffic.

Staff was very nice and was helpful with whatever you need.
No toiletries and blankets, I was cold at night. Shuttle was overpriced at 15 USD one way but you're stuck with it because its in a residential neighborhood andcabs dont pass by there. Good for one night stay if you have an early flight to catch the next morning.
